Such are Things

Pictures had been taken over Oreo ice cream cake at the Souths, where they had an art teacher from a local public high school over for dinner (who went to their church and had created the fantastic mosaic which grandly hung above the South’s fireplace). Once several photographs had been snapped, there were various discussions ranging from X-Men to the definition of music. And, as Relevance and Kitts were leaving the next morning, there were a few quick goodbyes from Relevance and Kitts to OLeif and Collette as Kitts resumed her discussion with Mr. South and Relevance helped Curly set up his iPod so that all could hear a piece on the ukulele. Cashmere had also just come over from work with samples from Carrabba’s, where she waitressed. Mrs. South proudly showed off her new kitchen – what seemed to look like ivory-colored Italian tile covering the walls around the back windows, which looked very nice. Lollipop told Collette about how she was going to spend two weeks with the quartet in Oregon while her parents toured San Francisco, etc. And the art teacher told Denae about his work with cubism and his plans for the summer, including painting a mural in a bathroom in Wildwood… Such were people’s plans.
And it seemed that Miss CIA and her boyfriend, Mr. FBI, were going to be headed out to the campground Sunday to visit with Mom and Dad.
Friday was equally warm and satisfyingly dull. OLeif went off to see X-Men with the Souths, Joe, Magnus, Wallace, and Curly, and Molly, and Rose spent the night with Annamaria – no doubt to discuss things of a girlish nature.
