Summer Break Day #18

• Walk out that morning to find Patience sitting on the counter in her unicorn pajamas buttering plates of toast for herself and Yali; “little mother”
• Later that afternoon, Gloria picks up Yali, Patience, and their swimsuits for an overnight
• Meet the new pastor and his wife, moved in from Delaware, across two fully sanitized tables at church
• Pick up Bao burger, fries, and a Mexican Coke in Clayton for the first date in about a quarter of a year (sounds so much longer that way)
• Oxbear continues to indulge by picking up fully edible cookie dough for my desert
• Learn how to knit an afghan… sort of…
