Summer Break Day #30

• Yali and Patience can be found bouncing on the trampoline with a pack of hard salami before the online worship service
• Puck and Yali engage in an all-out wrestling match sometime during the reading of I John
• After the service, Yali explodes into screams and tears when Puck washes one of his dollar bills in the sink
• Spend the afternoon at the Big House with family, deep fried stuffed avocados, jambalaya, and cornbread muffins, celebrating eight birthdays that were missed during the pandemic lockdown; Sally receives a “snake grabber” as one of her gifts

During the worship service, Patience watched our pastor on the television screen…

Patience : “Is he God?”

Collette : “No, he isn’t God. He’s reading God’s Word.”

Puck, with a wicked grin on his face : “No, Patience. That guy is Jesus.”

For the rest of the service, I had to continue convincing Yali and Patience that our new pastor was not, in fact, the Savior of all mankind.
