Summer Break Day #32
- Yali plucks all but one of my dark red tiger lilies as a bouquet for his mama
- Spend the evening in a very sparsely populated Johnson’s Shut-ins; lots of warm sun, ice water, and green hills
- Oxbear receives two birthday gifts of his choosing in the mail : a wooden salt box and a little metal top (he’ll still be both ten and thirty, when he’s eighty)

“Well that’s a new one…”
Oxbear walked back into our room in the six o’clock hour early that morning. Yali and Patience were being loud in the other room, as usual.
“What were they doing this time?” I asked.
“They were outside pretending to be ninjas.”
“But I locked all the doors up top last night.”
“They got out through the living room window.”
Of course they did.
