The Box

A knock at the front door brought Yali into the living room to inspect. Oxbear and I watched as he opened the front door to watch the FedEx man walk back to his truck.

“Thank you!” Yali called after him, then lifted the box that was larger than himself into the house.

We continued to watch him as he set down the box, rubbed both hands together, licked his lips like he was about to dig into a feast, and said, “Hmm… what is it?”

Oxbear just chuckled. “It’s toilet paper, buddy.”
