The Creepy Cat
Friday, August 25, 2006
At work, Judah noticed Ivy’s latest thought-bubble addition to her magnetic cat:
“Judah, beware the stairs (of death)!”
Judah looked war-ingly at it.
“It was the cat,” he said, “The cat made me fall down the stairs.”
The rain came in the late morning, thankfully. And there was nothing else eventful to the work day, which was typical for a Friday, particularly when Sinai was out of the office, as he had been all of that day.
The evening called for kites, with OLeif, Collette, Ben-Hur, Rose, and Molly. However, the stores were no longer selling kites, seeing is March had been already five months ago. So they spent a short time at the park until the “moskeeters” came out, as Rose put it.
And there were donuts at Paul’s Donuts before they eventually met up with the three stooges outside of the St. Charles Coffeehouse. The evening came to a close shortly later, which was probably a good thing, as the three boys were off to a Boy Scout camping weekend and would be leaving at 6:30 the next morning.
Aside from learning all the names planned for hurricanes over the next five years, nothing very new came up that day.
