The Fatty
Puck loved his Fatty.
“Lighting, lighting!” he cried out when he stood in the dark hall and watched it glow.
Over at the house, he almost immediately brushed the front of the fatty, unintentionally, in chocolate from one of Carrie’s “digestive biscuits”. Another something only from the Brits. So while he munched on this novelty, Collette worked with Joe on arranging his fall schedule at Flo Valley.
While Puck napped, Collette joined Mom at the store for a few things: white pumpkin and brightly colored leaf seeds, a Mr. Pure cranberry juice, sundried tomato alfredo sauce, etc. And Francis, waiting in the big old green slug, jumped on the package of cinnamon gum before Collette could finish slipping the grocery bags inside the van.
“Yes!!” he exclaimed, being a bit of a gum fiend.
When they returned, Puck and Linnea were ready to play outside and took a long swing together in Francis’ hammock in the back yard. The wind was up, and spring was making a comeback under fluff-filled skies and opening green buds.
