The Grandkids

When Puck is in a particularly good mood after school, he waxes into speculations of the future. This afternoon during math homework, was no new story.

“You know, Mom, after I get to Heaven and I meet God, and get all my autographs from all the famous people in the Bible, I’m going to look down on Earth and see what happens until the year 30,000. Except, I don’t think time will be the same, you know? So I want to watch what happens, and what my grandkids are up to…”

“I thought you said you’re never getting married,” I teased.

His eyes got big. “No, no, I meant Yali’s grandkids. I meant Yali’s. No, no, I really did.”
