The Matchbox Car

Puck : “So, Mom, Nathan and me are going to bring matchbox cars to school and burn the paint off with a magnifying glass at recess so they’re just metal. And then we’re going to paint them gold.”

Collette : “Buddy, you can’t burn stuff at school…”

Puck : “Oh, it’s alright. We can. A teacher already said we could.”

Collette : “I see… Well, wouldn’t it just be easier to paint over the cars instead of burning off the paint?”

Puck : “Yes, but we really want a fresh start, you know?”
