In which work continues, avidly…
Collette woke late, dreaming something about the Armenian basketball team…
In the mid-morning, notes from Carrie. When she had told Puck that his mama loved him, he had replied…
“Good, but I’ve already had breakfast.”
And earlier, when he had come out to snuggle with Carrie on the couch after waking, and Carrie asked him if he had slept well, he had replied…
“No. Earnest was making drinking noises, and floppy bunny noises, and stinky noises.”
In the late morning, OLeif checked in with Collette: a recipe for Caramel Stuffed Apple Cider Cookies and something about saving the world with a three hundred dollar mobile phone upgrade…
Another walk.
Tea.
Toumani Diabaté’s Symmetric Orchestra.
And that was about the size of the day.
Another brown recluse crawling on the floor… just like the one that had jumped on her arm several weeks ago.
O shivers…
At least, according to the University of California’s Department of Entomology…
“Even if you have a recluse, bites from them are extremely rare, despite all the stories. Many of the really graphic nasty wounds you see on the internet as recluse bites can also be other conditions like [Lyme disease]. Ninety percent of brown recluse bites are not medically significant, and [sic] heal very nicely often without medical intervention, [sic] and treatment for most brown recluse bites is simple first aid (RICE therapy – Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation).”
But still…
