The Reemergence of "Little Graffitian" from the Good Old Days of After-Choir

[13:43pm] Collette found herself spending fifteen hours at the church, Friday. By six-thirty in the evening she headed over to the youth/choir room and turned on the heat. Though the skies were rather balmy, the cold and rain were soon to come in. Shortly later, Cecil Whittakers was ordered after Collette was joined by Jimmy, Boy, Susie, Augustus, Joe and Rose, Samantha, OLeif (who had just picked up Magnus and Molly), Jeremiah Toast, Loraine and the two kids, and surprise – Jesse James and his little sister. He had grown up, but he was pretty much still the same old Jesse – “Little Graffitian.” And as the cold rain began to pound down, Joe and Augustus had just enough time to throw a shaken canned soda apiece across the asphalt for good fun. Later, there was a little DDR and serious conversations between the kids – which was quite usual.
From the Christmases in Croatia came the latest:
“This only theater in town is normally a source of great mirth to us movie loving Americans. The actual building is a beautiful, really grand, old place built and given to her birth city in 1925 by Croatia’s most famous actress at the time. Now used for movies and an occasional school play, the atmosphere is best described as ‘seedy.’ Threadbare seats, sticky floors, enough bugs in the chandeliers to dim the light and just enough heat in the winter to encourage you to leave your coat on. The cute part is that the operators refuse to show a movie unless ten people show up to watch. Most often, the ten don’t show.”
“…Man whom Thou hast made for Thee;
Ruler of creation’s glory,
Image of Thy majesty.
Music, art, the fruitful garden,
All the labor of his days,
Are the calling of his Maker
To the harvest feast of praise.
But our sins have spoiled Thine image;
Nature, conscience only serve
As unceasing, grim reminders
Of the wrath which we deserve.
Yet Thy grace and saving mercy
In Thy Word of truth revealed
Claim the praise of all who know Thee,
In the blood of Jesus sealed..”
