The second anniversary of OLeif and Collette went rather well. OLeif presented her with a bunch of red roses at the end of the day, and joked:


I just thought maybe you’d like some, for no particular reason.”


Carrie even scolded Rose earlier in the afternoon, after Rose had been grumbling about psychology homework:


Rose, you’d better quit. You’re being bad even on Collette’s anniversary.”


Rose quickly repented.


And there were roast beef sandwiches for dinner, cards from Grandma Combs and Violet, and a Happy Anniversary message from Denae. It was a good day.
