Third Year Around

OLeif’s and Collette’s third anniversary.
During Puck’s afternoon nap, Collette watched The Great Gatsby – decadence, immorality, drunkenness, lust, murder – one of the classics. But it was to be expected. Collette had always found it interesting that during such a time in history her own Great Grandmother Jewel had also been involved in the speakeasies – one of the St. Louis flappers.
Meanwhile, Puck enjoyed squealing happily to himself in his crib before falling asleep for his morning naps. Perhaps he talked to the colorful circles on his window curtain.
That evening, Denae came over to babysit the bouncing Puck. And OLeif and Collette ate dinner at Cracker Barrel, followed by a bag of Neccos, Mentos, giant Smarties, and watermelon hard candies for an evening drive.
The moon rose red that night, cloaked in wisps of gray clouds, rose higher as a golden lamp, and ended as a round yellow cheese in the night sky.
