In which Puck’s notions of the world, and beyond, continue to be built…
Puck had thoughtful words that morning, clad once again in ‘Cardinal red’ footies…
“Mama, even when I’m grown up, I want to live here with you.”
Before he left for work, OLeif taught Puck a round of life-extending morning stretches. Puck was not thrilled with this idea at first.
At already a third of the way through the grayest month of the year, temperatures were holding in the upper 40’s.
Omelets for lunch preceded the arrival of the dimpled duo. Fortunately, the boys were keen on remaining out-of-doors for most of the afternoon.
During dinner, Puck expressed interest of a future move…
“I would like to live in a lighthouse someday.”
This was followed with unconventional ideas about shedding skin…
“I noticed that my skin is getting ready to move,” he said pointing to his finger. “To a different people’s skin.”
As Puck was preparing to sleep that night, he had thoughts on the prospects of Glory…
“Does God have a sink in Heaven?”
“I’m not sure about that…”
“Chocolate cakes?”
“I hope so.”
“God could make a chocolate heaven inside the real Heaven?” he practically squeaked, as his eyes grew wider and wider in excitement. “This is going to be great! This chocolate heaven! There’s going to be God in there!”
Unable to contain his enthusiasm any longer…
“Now. Let’s jump everywhere!”
