To pine on the stem
Sunday, October 1, 2006
Sunday brought warmer weather and things to talk about.
Carrie had spent her evening after work the night before, out with Elizabeth and Lucia, on the Illinois side of the river in some naturally-lit hang-outs with little bonfires.
Dad and Frances had seen a car fire on the way back from the church after the camp out at the Daniel Boone home.
Joe took off for a bike ride in the afternoon after having gone to Mr. Sing’s church to sing with the home school choir for their worship service.
Carrie wrote papers after shepherd’s pie and cornbread for lunch.
OLeif hurried off to youth after a trip by the Silverspoon’s.
Collette watched Girl with a Pearl Earring.
Joe talked about real Indian Eagle feathers that Grandma Combs had bought for him at one of the casinos in the Black Hills, having returned from her trip by bus several weeks before.
And OLeif bought Collette a fish sandwich for dinner.
Life kept busy.
