Toy Store
Another Monday.
Another week.
Linnea and Puck drew pictures on the patio with charcoal sticks from the fire pit until Carrie-Bri took them to the toy store while Collette visited Costco with Mom. They returned with goodies.
When Collette walked in the door, Puck was sitting on the counter helping Carrie mix oatmeal cookies for Dad, wearing a brand new set of Spongebob pajama shorts and top. He was very, very happy with this gift.
He was also thrilled with the large deep blue bouncy ball that Carrie had let him pick out, which he tossed back and forth, kicked, and rolled around the living room with Mom, giggling, for part of the afternoon.
Around a quarter past one, Carrie and Francis looked out the window to see two horses standing in the driveway. One of the alumni choir families lived down the road. Their eldest daughter and an apparent friend had decided to clop-clop over for some reason, and spoke with Joe in the driveway before clopping back down the street again.
“That’s rather… unusual…” Carrie noted, watching them walk away.
