Uneventful Triple Birthday

The triple birthday – OLeif (22), Eve (18), and Wallace (17). And OLeif was spending his with over two hundred junior highers at week-long conference in southern Illinois.

Tuesday was mostly uneventful.

But Linnea came back with Collette that evening to spend the night. Earlier in the day, Mom, Collette, Carrie-Bri, Rose, and Linnea had run errands (while Rose was raked over the coals of history examination), including dropping by a furniture store to check out a nice leather couch on which Dad and Mom had their eye. And Collette saved Dad a black cherry soda from their evening at Shakespeare – one of his favorites.

Frances and Linnea spent the night over French fries, ice cream, and The Silver Chair that night, somehow managing to stay awake till midnight, which Collette could barely manage herself.

Meanwhile, Carrie had finally finished her crazy-cat year of intellectual frenzy and found herself deadly bored. Throughout the day, she had painted masks in her room, played her cello, and decided that she would no longer wear blonde hair.
