And there it was, fresh on the table, hot off the press:
“[Judy] went in to surgery at 8:13 this morning (after leaving her hospital room at 5:20 a.m.) and was in surgery for about 6 hours. The final report: THEY GOT IT ALL!!!!!!! …we praise the Lord for the wisdom that he gave to the physicians as they performed her surgery.”

It did seem that Mrs. Pretzel had been administered another miracle, and there were surely bright faces all over the world that morning, as a result. From Africa to Oklahoma… for Mrs. Pretzel’s influence reached far and wide. To be sure, they had welcomed those from all places and backgrounds and faiths into their home. And they lived all the more heartily for it. There would be good times ahead.
And seeing as it was the day before her favorite holiday, Collette could then feel like celebrating. For starts, she pinned too little green shamrocks into her ears and pulled on some green for wearing. There would be corned beef and cabbage that evening, without the pints. For Thursday nights were always reserved for the Boy Scouts of the family to attend their meetings. And who wished to rush a nice St. Patty’s day supper, complete with pittaties and perhaps some nice green sweet for afterwards.
