In which a new kind of purchase is made…

Puck had thoughts over breakfast, as a sleepy Linnea-Irish joined them at the breakfast table. He took a scoop of his yogurt and blueberries, eyeing the pan of sizzling bacon on the stove.
“No one can find me,” he said. “Only but God.”

Collette was quite disappointed that morning to learn that, according to her current diet restrictions, she was not allowed her twice-weekly allotted sweets, rice bread, peanut butter, or cashews for the following week. There went every possible snack category she had left from which to draw. Prospects seem crabby…

After Quiet Hour, Collette heard Puck outside the open window with Lila, who was helping him inspect the weeds.
“Stop growing, plants!” he commanded.
“Say ‘please’,” Linnea instructed him.
“Please!”

With the mail came a box of four packs of brown rice flour from Amazon.
But the crux of the afternoon was rewarding, indeed. The lime green automatic ice cream maker arrived via UPS, after Puck had been expectantly watching out the window for it for some time.
He eagerly awaited the tearing open of the box, and with little effort, the amazing machine was removed to begin operation. Eight hours into the freezer for the bucket, and to wait.
The afternoon also incorporated, while he and Linnea played outside, the discovery of a miniature snail shell, which delighted him enough to hold in his hand.
“Isn’t that cute?” he would ask quietly.
He deposited it carefully into a vitamin ziplock bag.

There were more s’mores for the kiddos after dinner.
The wind was a little flighty.
Great storms were spread over Kansas, coming.
That night, OLeif returned, at Collette’s encouragement, from having inspected a motorcycle prospect out in Crestwood with Williamwallace.
Before eight o’clock, he called with an update.
“I’m buying it.”
From a pastor of a non-denominational church whom, by happenstance, Williamwallace ended up knowing from his past.

After dinner, Linnea occupied herself with Minecraft, building a stone, wood, and glass house that had a very interesting open sort of design. At 8:30, she reemerged.
“How long was I back there?” she asked.
“Oh… three hours…”
Linnea was shocked.
The things one could get away with while staying with an older sister…
And then it was down to the cool of the basement for the both of them to finish Sense & Sensibility.
The evening was wrapped up early at 9:30 with the windows open to the mild night.

Meanwhile, Mom and Dad had caught an 11:10pm flight out of Venice, to London.
