Woolly Bugs

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Collette and Puck were together for the day. This meant two walks around the neighborhood in the morning and afternoon, and a trip to the grocery store.
As usual, Puck called out to the fruits and the vegetables, especially to his old friends, the bananas.
And during their travels that morning, butterflies swarmed in flocks across the highways. In addition to the fluttering orange, white, and purple wings, Collette noticed the unusual amount of woolly bugs crawling madly across not only the service roads, but the highways as well.
“I think they’re confused, Puck,”she told the little chubby in the backseat.
The rest of the day was simply quiet. Nothing out of the ordinary. And the world seemed ready for fall.
