Summer Day #59
July 13, 2020
- Wake to find that Patience had scotch-taped the couch, kitchen door, floor, and various other places she felt needed to be held together; I guess the basement and tree issues were beginning to make her feel the house needed some help
- Take Yali and Patience to Castlewood to splash wildly around in the water and hunt for more fossils

Collette : “So what kind of fun snacks do you want for your road trip?”
Puck : “How about something not salty so I don’t get too thirsty.”
Collette : “So, almonds?”
Puck : *stares at me* “That just makes me sad.”

Patience, “reading” the Children’s Storybook Bible to me…
“God had to be a gentleman. And he loved us. Right? He gives us so many toys! And a bad tiger wanted to kill the guy! He went on a ship and it was RAINING! OH NOOOOO! And then in the afternoon is was snowing and chicken was… BEING SO MAD! And then one time… all the guys went to bed. And then God was sorry that they bumped their heads. And then the afternoon a penguin was here, and a puppy… His heart loves us. Right?”
