An hour and forty-five minutes waiting at the license bureau that morning while Patience asks questions and questions and questions about the film “Thirteen Lives” for maybe three-quarters of that time… fascinated… until ticket G34 is called and we walk up to the front desk only to learn that the careful research of required documentation on two different government websites failed to inform me that, despite twenty years of marriage, I would still be required to submit a certified marriage certificate in order to apply for a Real ID… just renew my license instead

Home for math class with Yali and Patience while Puck – fresh from the gym with a tweaked shoulder – distracts the kids by scotch-taping a plastic ruler to a power drill and whipping it around like an deranged windmill… the kids love it

After a quick lunch of cheesy rice… out into a frigid sun, Patience joining me…

ATM cash deposit

Library drop-off and pick-up… Chinese culture and Judi Dench’s autobiography

Target (a very very crowded Target) for packs of gifts for eight teachers, and rubber bands for Oxbear, and yet another gallon of milk for Puck… use up a couple of gift cards on a new pair of sneakers in muted earth tones for Patience (she is a very happy lady)

Home with enough time to write a menu and shopping list for the next two weeks, including three holiday parties, before…

Back to the studio for one more private Irish dance lesson prior to the holidays with Miss E

Home where Oxbear and Yali are busy working on newly improved 3D printed propeller tops (Puck is also enjoying this project)
