Amateurs

It was after two o’clock in the afternoon. Francis’ 22nd birthday celebration was commencing three days early. And, much to Francis’ great appreciation, there was Sugarfire pulled pork for lunch, followed by homemade Reese’s bars.

“I know they’re rich,” Carrie-Bri called from the kitchen. “Don’t feel obligated to eat all of them.”

“Oh. Good,” Francis breathed a sigh of relief. “They’re good. But there is no way I can finish this. It’s so rich.”

Jaya just grinned. “Amateurs.”
