Summer Break Day #24

• Patience slathers grape jelly all over her new hot pink owl t-shirt while preparing breakfast for herself and Yali
• Weed more of the garden where the eggplants, garlic, cantaloupe, and tomatoes are all beginning to take off
• Take kids to Castlewood State Park to wade in the shallows where they witness a tiny snake swimming down-creek – probably scared into a slither by all the kids in the water poking at it – and a fat high-hopping toad (definitely more my speed…)
• The tropical storm down south throws in some amazing evening weather with big winds and blue cloud
