Summer, Day 31

Puck’s bedtime.

“Mom, I forgot I don’t have a toothbrush.”

He’d used it that morning to scrub the fossil rock he’d found in the woods Sunday afternoon. He had a dental appointment in the morning.

He walked out to lounge on the couch before evening prayers and tucking him in for the night.

“Mom?” I was thinking that we sin all the time during the day, but when we’re sleeping, we stop sinning. So at least we’re not sinning all the time.”
