Summer, Day 54

Yali was having “issues” that morning, as Puck often put it. Puck banished him to the corner after discovering that Yali had “wrecked” his room. Yali’s response was – of course – to throw back his head and emit an ear-splitting mournful wail. After a minute or two of this, Puck marched back out of his room and crouched down next to Yali, placing two firm hands on his shoulder.

“Yali! Listen! Listen to me! Life is not all about you! You have to learn this now! Life if not all about you! That’s not how life works!”

The wailing subsided while Yali contemplated his brother’s wise words.
