Be My Witness

Yali tore out of his room that morning, naked as a jaybird, brandishing a wooden sword in the air, growling like a T-rex. He then joined the ridiculous conversation happening in the living room between Oxbear and Puck regarding the use of the television in the mornings. A new rule was about to be established.

“Now, Puck. I have just passed a bill that has been approved by the house and the senate in my head. And because I asked your mom to come be a witness and she sat down here, she is now my witness to this bill.”

Puck wasn’t about to be outdone so soon. “Yali, come here. Be my witness.”

“No!”

Puck doubled over in laughter. “This is an unfair court! I need a lawyer!”
